Does the viral image of actor Elliot Page really show him on the cover of Men’s Health magazine for the August 2026 issue? No, this is not true: the photograph originated from a satirical story that he himself described. Later versions of the image removed the watermark linking the image to this account.
The statement appeared in a post by @Glinner (archived here) on X dated July 16, 2026. The caption read:
It’s like putting Karen Carpenter on the cover of Shape.

Elliot Page (archived here) is a Canadian actor and producer who came out as transgender (archived here) in 2020 (archived here), using he/they pronouns. While Page’s openness about the journey has received a lot of international attention over the years, this particular image has not been part of the true media coverage of the story.
The alleged cover did not appear on the actor’s Instagram (archived here) or Men’s Health (archived here) Instagram account. This post (archived here) shows the actual magazine cover featuring another man, singer Lenny Kravitz.

The statement appeared to come from a self-described satirical page whose watermark first appeared in the bottom right corner but was later cut off. The image was first posted (archived here) on Facebook earlier that day, July 16, 2026. The self-description of this page (archived here) read:
