De La Fuente, who said teenage winger Lamin Yamal was fit after missing training, preferred to talk about Sunday’s final rather than focus on Argentina’s tactics.
“On Sunday we will see a great show, two great teams, very similar in some aspects in terms of attitude and talent,” he added.
“I think it will be an amazing final, each team will try to take the game to their side.
“I believe that both Spain and Argentina will have a game plan in which talent and good football will rule everything else.
“The referee will support us and keep the football at the level expected in a World Cup final.”
Three-time world champions Argentina are hoping to become the first team since Brazil in 1958 and 1962 to win back-to-back men’s World Cups.
At a press conference on Friday, Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni was not asked about his team’s tactics.
However, he spoke about his friendship with Spain coach De La Fuente, which formed in 2017 when De la Fuente was an instructor while Scaloni studied for his professional coaching license.
“He knows me personally,” Scaloni said.
“We’re friends, but that doesn’t mean he knows what I think when it comes to football.
“We didn’t really talk about playing style. We have similar patterns of play when it comes to possession of the ball.”
“I hope the game on Sunday will be a great spectacle.”
