Gujarat Monsoon: After a few days break in Gujarat, Meghraja started his innings again with a bang. According to the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC), 98 taluks of the state received heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall is 2.24 inches in Paddhari Taluka in Rajkot district of Saurashtra. Farmers feel happy when the second rain comes.
Heavy rain also occurred in Surat and Kutch districts.
After the fall of Rajkot, Meghraj rain also fell in South Gujarat and Kutch. 1.81 inches of rain fell in Kamrej in Surat district and 1.69 inches in Rapar in Kutch district. Also, Mangrol and Bardoli of Surat received 1.5-1.5 inches of rainfall in low-lying areas.

Apart from 1.22 inches at Dhanduk in Ahmedabad district, 21 mm rainfall was recorded at Dholera and 16 mm at Sanand. On the other hand, Barwala in Botad received 23mm of rain and Botad town received 16mm of rain. Other parts of Saurashtra like Umrala, Palitana in Bhavnagar and Dasada and Chotila in Surendranagar also witnessed cold weather with more than half an inch of rain. According to the meteorological department, rainy weather will continue in various parts of the state in the coming days.
