The latest reforms of the federal government are viewed critically by a clear majority of the German population. The government’s “Recovery and Employment Program” includes more than 30 measures, ranging from tax reform, easing labor laws, reducing bureaucracy, and ending with a ban on the nationalization of private rental housing stock at the state level.

Every second SPD supporter is not convinced
By party, the majority of supporters of the ruling parties support the reforms. In the Union, 66 percent turned out, and in SPD 51 percent are convinced that they are going in the right direction. The majority of AfD, Green and Left supporters are skeptical, according to the poll. FDP supporters are divided.
