Lionel Scaloni explained why he remains invincible
“I think they are Indian, but in a good way,” coach Scaloni said after the semi-final win over England. Here Indians does not mean Indians, but “Indios” is a Spanish word that means Indians or people of American descent.
He further added: “I know how he is, he is very angry, but in a good way. He grew up in an environment where he is not afraid of anything. He was the best everywhere. He has competed from a young age and everyone has high expectations for him. Responsibility does not burden him.”
Argentina pulled back in the final minutes
In the semi-final match against England, Argentina fought back in the final minutes of the game. At a time when it seemed that Messi’s team would be eliminated from the World Cup. There was a tough fight between the two teams in the first half. Both teams failed to score goals. England then scored in the 55th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
Enzo Fernandez then scored the first goal in the 85th minute, thanks to an assist from Lionel Messi, to level the score. In the 92nd minute, Lautaro Martinez scored again from a pass from Messi to give Argentina a 2–1 lead. Argentina maintained their lead until the end of the match and advanced to the final.
