Eric Duhaime had to go to great lengths to defend his new chief of staff, Sebastien Lepine, on Tuesday.

Mr Lépine was chief of staff to Transport Minister François Bonnardel during the launch of SAAQclic.
The leader of the Conservative Party of Quebec (PCQ) tried to minimize the involvement of his new team member in the SAAQ digital platform fiasco.
However, Eric Duhaime has attacked the CAQ and people involved in the SAAQclic case on several occasions.

Former Liberal minister Gaetan Barrett humorously noted Mr Duhaime’s performance that day.
