Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jakub Dobes appears to be working hard to continue his success next season.
The 25-year-old recently worked on his offensive skills with Detroit Lions offensive lineman Michael Niese.
This was announced by the Instagram account of former American Hockey League player Jeff LoVecchio.

It’s hard to say whether this drill will allow Dobes to stop more pucks, but it will only be beneficial if the goalie decides to get into a fight.
The last national team goalkeeper to leave the net to exchange blows with an opponent was Carey Price in February 2011. He “danced” with Tim Thomas of the Boston Bruins.
Last season, fights between goalies, consisting of three confrontations, became fashionable again in the National League:
Before this, the last fight between goalies occurred in February 2020 at Bettman Speedway.
Habs prospect Arseniy Radkov also made headlines last March for his pugilism skills in the Quebec Maritime Junior Hockey League.
As for Dobes, he had a fantastic campaign in the 2025/2026 season. He maintained a 29-10-4 record, a .901 save percentage and a 2.78 goals-against average in 43 regular season games.
Cech also posted stats of .908 and 2.66 during Blue Blanc Rouge’s 19 playoff games.
His performance earned him a three-year contract extension that will pay him an annual salary of just over $5.3 million starting in the 2027-28 season.
