According to Skymet, the monsoon trough is currently extending over the east-central Bay of Bengal through Bikaner, Churu, Lucknow, Patna, Banka, Diamond Harbour. At the same time, the North Bay of Bengal and adjacent areas experience a cyclonic circulation active up to an altitude of about 5.8 km above sea level. Apart from this, a cyclonic circulation is also forming around North Gujarat and Southwestern Rajasthan.

According to the weather forecast, Northeast India, West Bengal, Odisha and North Andaman and Nicobar Islands may experience light to moderate rain with heavy rain at some places. Apart from this, light to moderate rain is possible in parts of Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, East Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal.

Additionally, light rain may occur in the Western Himalayan region, parts of Punjab, Haryana, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala. There is currently no chance of rain in Delhi.
