Baron Corbin made his shocking return to WWE on the latest episode of SmackDown.
Corbin returned to interrupt the non-title match between Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams, attacking both men and forcing the match to end early.
This was Corbin’s first appearance in WWE in just under two years, as he left the company in November 2024.
While the 41-year-old has been active on the independent scene, prior to Friday’s action, rumors swirled about his potential return.
On May 20, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Corbin had fulfilled commitments to some of the companies he regularly worked with, and it was believed that he had either signed with WWE or would be signed soon.
Corbin’s previous run in WWE included memorable feuds with Roman Reigns, AJ Styles and Sami Zayn. He won the United States Championship and the NXT Tag Team Championship, and also won the 2019 King of the Ring tournament.
Now Corbyn is intervening in the ongoing conflict between Hayes and Williams.
