The images touch father and daughter alike: Joelina edited Drew’s personal recordings from her childhood into an emotional video for a music project. When they watch these scenes together, the tears don’t stop. These memories today have special value for the singer, as well as for Jürgen Drews.

He is no longer the center of attention. The former “King of Mallorca” left the public and stage life. Despite the limitations caused by polyneuropathy of the nerve disease, the 81-year-old man appears content and balanced in an interview with BRISANT. By his own statement, he doesn’t seem to miss life in the spotlight.

Polyneuropathy…

…summarizes a group of peripheral nervous system diseases that can affect nerves throughout the body. Typical complaints include tingling, numbness or pain, which usually begins symmetrically in the feet and legs and spreads slowly.

Jurgen Drews pays attention to family

An important support in his new daily life is his family. Joelina Drews returned to her parents in Munich with her boyfriend. For the 30-year-old, living together is a matter of the heart – not least because she wants to support her father in everyday life.

“Firstly, my dad, of course, is no longer the youngest, and therefore I can always be close to him when I am at home. It’s the same with my mom. And it’s very nice because now we can do things spontaneously.”

The cover version stays in the family

Today, family life is characterized by traveling together and spending a lot of time together. At the same time, Jürgen Drews follows his daughter’s musical projects with great interest. What makes him especially proud is that Joelina is now reimagining one of his songs, “Through and Through.”

“When our own daughter covers my song. Yeah, it doesn’t get any hotter than this. I’m really proud of it,” the 81-year-old told BRISANT.

The fact that he can now look back on his life’s work through his daughter’s music obviously means a lot to him. At the same time, he sees up close how Joeline’s career is developing.

Happiness off stage

For Jürgen Drews, the focus is no longer on the next gig, but on spending time with his loved ones. Along with his daughter Joelina and wife Ramona, the pop star is enjoying quieter moments in life and appears to still be finding plenty to be happy about even during this phase of health problems.
