The United States has again launched strikes against Iran in response to an attack on a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, the US Middle East Command (Centcom) said on Saturday evening.
US forces “began a third round of strikes against Iran this week” after Iran’s Revolutionary Guards “apparently attacked the GFS Galaxy, a Cypriot-flagged container ship” in the Strait of Hormuz, Centcom said, adding that “a civilian crew member was missing in action.”
140 targets hit
The United States struck 140 targets in Iran on Sunday, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said, in response to an attack by Iranian forces on a merchant ship in the Strait of Hormuz.

“These targets included Iranian missile and drone sites, naval assets, ammunition depots, communications networks, and coastal observation posts,” Centcom wrote on X.
