Green (35-17, 1 NC) is one of the most experienced fighters on the UFC roster, sporting a 16-12-1 (1 NC) record inside the Octagon. He’s on an unlikely winning streak, having recently knocked out Jeremy Stephens, Daniel Zellhuber and Lance Gisbon Jr. With Saturday’s win, Green will have more than three wins for the first time since 2012.

Round 1: Green enters the cage and yells at McKinney before continuing to talk to Daniel Cormier and Joe Rogan before the fight begins. Real bad blood between him and McKinney heading into their lightweight bout.
Green and McKinney should not touch gloves. McKinney starts with all his might and already lands three punches to Greene’s face, but manages to knock him down. Back on their feet, and McKinney is on offense again. McKinney is too fast for Green early in the fight, and within a minute of the fight starting Green has blood all over his face. Curse. McKinney lands a nasty left hook to the body as Green is pinned against the fence. And McKinney keeps landing! Back into the body! And the knee! McKinney has great timing for a double-leg takedown and has trouble with Green, who almost immediately reaches a full mount. McKinney connects left hands one after the other and Green is in big trouble. McKinney goes for a rear naked choke, but then changes his mind and goes back to the ground and throws punches. A few punches later and McKinney goes after him again, but Green is now defending well. Green talks to McKinney while throwing punches at the young fighter behind him. McKinney attacks the neck, but Greene manages to escape and get to his feet! Green hits McKinney with a right hand to the body and HE GETS A SECOND KO WITH A LEFT! WOW!
