Yes, that is the name of the shadow budget of the Social Democrats in the municipality of Kungsbachka. In our budget we can state that the financial differences and priorities between right and left in Kungsbacka’s politics are clearer than ever. We need change that requires us to take care of each other and protect everyone in society.
One of the economically vulnerable groups of the municipality are people with certain disabilities. They were particularly hard hit by inflation. Many of them work daily under the auspices of the municipality. They have a daily allowance which today is SEK 108.50. Of this amount, the municipality pays SEK 36 per day. The rest is paid through a time-limited government subsidy.
At best, this government subsidy will remain, at worst, not. The Social Democrats want to increase the daily remuneration for daily work by 100 SEK per day. This means that the new daily allowance will be SEK 208.50 and will mitigate the worst consequences if the government subsidy is not provided in the future.
The alliance’s 2027 budget and 2028-2029 plan, approved by the municipal council in June 2026, do not provide earmarked funds for this.
We need to do more here and we will continue to fight for it to reduce disparities and increase equality!
