Harry Helijovaara praised the couple Henry Pattenia fluently after the duo won the Wimbledon men’s doubles title for a second time on Saturday.
– This is absolutely incredible. These are the moments I’ve always dreamed of and now we’ve won here twice. I want to thank Henri, he is the best doubles pair in the world,” Heliovaara said in an interview at the court after the match.
In his speech, the Finn also emphasized the team nature of the doubles game.
– This is a doubles game and a team sport. We now have a team’s worth of trophies at home.

Heliovaara shared recognition also of their last opponents El Salvador Marcelo Arevolle and Croatia Mate Pavicille.
– Marcelo and Mate, you are great champions! You have won so much in your career and it is always an honor to share the stage with you. We’ve had better luck lately, but playing with you guys is always one big battle. I hope that in the future we will meet again in the final.
Heliovaara and Patten beat Arevalo and Pavic in straight sets 2–0 in the Wimbledon final. The equal match was decided in two away games with the score 7–6 (7–4), 7–6 (7–3). The victory marked Heliovaara’s second career Wimbledon doubles championship and the duo’s second joint championship on London’s grass courts.
