Wednesday, July 1, 2026 9:30 am

Prospera Place, 1223 Water St., Kelowna

Welcome to the 51st Annual Kelowna Folk Festival and Canada Day Celebration at Prospera Place on July 1, 2026.

As the largest family event in the Okanagan, we have an exciting day planned. Doors open at 9:30 am, allowing guests to explore a variety of ethnic food stalls before cultural entertainment begins at 10:00 am.

The schedule also includes:

– 11:30: Canada Day drumming.
– 12:30: Official ceremonies with speeches by dignitaries and cultural figures.
– Ceremonies to follow: Dignitaries will cut and serve the Canada Day birthday cake to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

Entry requires a donation. Upon entry, volunteers in the lobby will hand out Canada Day badges, including flags and tattoos.

The site is wheelchair accessible. We ask that able-bodied participants use bleacher seating to ensure there is sufficient floor space for older adults and those with limited mobility.

Anyone can join the celebration. Happy Canada Day!
