This Friday, July 24, 2026, at 16:25, a farmer alerted firefighters to the start of a fire in Neuvillette-en-Charny (Sarthe). Fifty firefighters were dispatched. The flames were “under control” at 6:30 p.m., Mayor Jean-Paul Brochard said.

The fire is under control. At the end of the telephone conversation, the mayor of Neuvillet-en-Charny is relieved. Just before 4:30 p.m., a fire was reported in his town, west of Sarthe.
