The Hellfest organization didn’t wait until the big ticket sales day for the 2027 edition, Tuesday, July 7 at 1 p.m., to announce the color. The price of a four-day pass is set at 389 euros, to which a 10 euro “administration fee” must be added. Total 399 euros, which is below the symbolic level of 400 euros.
Last year you had to pay 359 euros. The increase of 40 euros is obviously due to a major change in the configuration of the next one – the twentieth festival of the famous extreme music – which will take place from 17 to 20 June 2027 in Clisson (Loire-Atlantique). There will be six to ten scenes on the site, with four minor scenes dubbed over. And the idea of welcoming 300 bands, whereas during recent festivals the festival could accommodate 180 people. An initiative that has raised some eyebrows and concerns about soaring prices.

Because the caliber does not change. 60,000 paid admissions and approximately 10,000 other festival goers, divided between volunteers, professionals and guests. So, in order to financially absorb this phenomenal new batch of bands, it is the festival goer who has to pay. With the equivalent of 10 euros per day, the increase is quite noticeable. Because, undoubtedly, it was necessary to spare a little for the regulars, who had already “cash in” on several successive promotions in recent years.
96 euros in 2006
When Hellfest, the successor to FuryFest, was created in 2006, it hosted just 22,000 festival-goers and more than 70 bands over three days, and a ticket cost… 96 euros. Another era. But not the same scale… Until 2016, the price gradually increases from 10 to 20 euros depending on the year, reaching a sort of plateau at 215 euros between 2016 and the first release in 2022.

Starting with the second edition of 2022, a pass for which sells for 295 euros, the festival will last four days. In 2023, festival goers paid 339 euros.
An increase that many metalheads remember and which caused some discussion about the “financial” elitism of the festival. The price will remain unchanged next year and then increase again to 10 euros in 2025 and then another 10 euros in 2026.
