The brand new reality show follows 26-year-old Truly as she realizes her ambitions of becoming a social media star.
But there’s one problem; Her family’s traditional beliefs about travelers don’t quite line up with her career choice.

Move over, My Big Gypsy Wedding, because there’s a new girl on the block. The Secret Lives of Gypsy Wives gives viewers a glimpse into the real life of the Vass family of travelers.
Truly-Precious Sunshine Vass is 26 years old. She lives with her mother Tina and four older sisters; Ruby Ann Honey, Peaches and Pearl Girl live nearby.
The new Channel 4 series begins after the death of Truely’s father. As the family tries to put the pieces together, they come up with a great idea. Truly-Precious wants to make enough money from social media to take care of them all.
Unlike most travelers, the Wass family children grew up on a council estate in Essex. Unlike a caravan, static or on wheels.

The main house is painted pink, and as the youngest of Tina’s daughters, Truly-Precious still lives at home. Well, actually, she lives in a pink chalet in the garden…
Bills need to be paid, and Truly-Precious believes that with her online content she can attract enough subscribers to get the job done. But there is one circumstance standing in her way.
Truly’s struggle to become the next big social media star runs counter to her family’s values as a traveler. Truly is expected to settle down, get married and become a housewife.
Tina is concerned that her daughter’s decision to talk about sex and relationships on podcasts and advertise cosmetics online will cause a backlash in the travel community.
Truly says in the trailer for The Secret Lives of Gypsy Wives: “We’re like the Kardashians. Like the Kardashians if they were broke.”
Who is Truly Precious and how many subscribers does she have?
Truly-Precious already has over 100,000 followers on Instagram. There are some recognizable faces among them, including The Only Way Is Essex’s Harry Durbidge and former Big Brother star Holly Clarke.
She is also popular on TikTok, with 942,000 fans there.
Speaking about The Secret Lives of Gypsy Wives, Truly says in a recent TikTok video: “I know no one expected me to have my own TV show, I know.

“I’ll be honest with you, when I walked into the Channel 4 room I didn’t think I was going to get it. But to be honest, I got it and we worked really hard on it.”
Truly’s social media content is heavily focused on cosmetics and makeup. She has also collaborated with fashion brands including Juicy Couture and Shein, and is partial to sharing holiday content from Egypt.
When does The Secret Life of Gypsy Wives start?

The new show will begin on Channel 4 on Monday 20 July 2026. It will air at 22:00, will last one hour and end at 23:00.
The Secret Lives of Gypsy Wives then airs weekly, every Monday, in the same timeslot. Each episode will also be available to stream for free on the Channel 4 website after it airs.
