Meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh said:

Rainfall will increase as soon as the new weather system takes effect over the Bay of Bengal or other areas. Currently, Western UP may experience interruption in monsoon rainfall for the next week. Bright sunlight, rising temperature and humidity will disturb people.

Tanga drowns in water-filled railway crossing in Meerut, killing young man and horse
The tragic accident took place around 3:00 pm on Saturday afternoon at the Bajot railway underpass located under Lohianagar police station area in Meerut. Because there was about 10 feet of water in the underpass, the tanga sank, killing the tanga’s driver and horse.
The deceased has been identified as Rakesh (60), son of Puran Singh, a resident of Ganeshpuri Khatta Road in Brahmapuri police station area. Rakesh worked on a dairy farm. On Saturday morning I went out to buy animal feed. While passing through the Bayot railway underpass, he misjudged the depth of the water, causing the tonga to sink into deep water. According to eyewitnesses, Rakesh also drowned while trying to save the horse.
As soon as the information was received, Lohianagar police reached the spot. Risking his life, the post commander jumped into the water and after considerable effort pulled out Rakesh’s body. The horse’s corpse was also removed with the help of local residents. The police have sent the body for autopsy.
