The title is misleading: there is no secret agent in this 2025 Cannes Film Festival award-winning Brazilian thriller. But there is a mysterious man, Marcelo, whom his country’s government was looking for in the 1970s. A magnificent film about corruption, memory and courage, directed by the flamboyant Wagner Moura.
