Mahindra & Mahindra has a long tradition of celebrating Independence Day by showcasing its upcoming technologies, concept cars and next-generation mobility solutions. Over the years, the automaker unveiled its electric SUV concepts (XUV.e and BE), Thar.e, Global Pik Up concept and Vision concepts based on the NU_IQ platform on August 15th. The automaker has planned a three-day event this year where it is expected to showcase a slew of new products.
While official information about Mahindra’s upcoming models will be revealed in the coming weeks, here’s what we can expect.
Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift
The new 2026 Mahindra Scorpio N facelift is likely to make its official debut next month. The SUV will get refined design and enhanced features while retaining the existing 2.2L turbodiesel engine and 2.0L turbodiesel petrol engine. Spy images show that the new Scorpio N will have a revised grille, updated headlights and front bumper. The side profile will remain largely unchanged, with the exception of new, larger alloy wheels.
On the interior, the new Mahindra Scorpio N will get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, a new digital instrument cluster and a panoramic sunroof. Mahindra could also make its ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) package more affordable by offering it on lower trims.
Production-ready Mahindra Vision S
The sub-4 meter long SUV based on the Mahindra Vision S concept could debut its production-ready version on August 15, 2026. This will be the first model to be developed on Mahindra’s all-new NU_IQ architecture. The final model is expected to stay true to the concept, featuring a tall and boxy silhouette. However, styling elements such as hood-integrated fender liners, roof lights, step ladder and jerry can will likely be removed or offered as optional accessories.
Since Mahindra’s NU_IQ platform supports multiple powertrains, the Mahindra Vision S is expected to be offered with petrol, diesel, electric and hybrid variants.
Mahindra BE 07
The Mahindra BE 07 electric SUV, based on the INGLO platform, may be unveiled in pre-production form on Independence Day this year. The SUV will retain most of the futuristic design elements seen in the concept such as the closed grille, sharply designed LED projector headlamps, LED fog lamps, sporty front bumper, large alloy wheels, sloping roofline, vertically stacked LED tail lamps and a short rear windshield.
The Mahindra BE 07 is likely to share its powertrain with the XUV 9S, which is currently available with 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh battery options.
