From Monday 20 July to Friday 31 July the B195 near Wittenberg will be completely closed from the roundabout to the B189 due to pipeline work. The designated bypass will run in both directions through Bentwisch and Motrich, said the German company Unity Fernstraßenplanungs-und-bau GmbH (Deges) in Berlin With.
Two more closures
Also due to work on the Hirtenweg pipeline in the northern industrial area of Wittenberg there will be a complete closure from Friday 31 July until Friday 11 September. A third closure is also expected: Due to an inspection of the bridge, the Wahrenberger Chaussee in Wittenberg will be completely closed in the area of the new road bridge on Monday, July 20, from 17:00 to 20:00. According to Deges, during this period it is impossible to drive to and from the landfill.

The new construction of the A14 motorway with a total length of 155 kilometers from Magdeburg via Prignitz to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, from the Baltic Sea to Wismar is the largest federal motorway project in the eastern federal states. Plans to build the section of the A14 from Karstedt to Wittenberg have repeatedly faced obstacles: protection of views and the environment, protection from noise and, most recently, last year, a lack of federal funding.
