For the third time this season, the West Coast Eagles will head into Saturday’s clash with the Brisbane Lions at Optus Stadium unchanged.
Although the team did not achieve the desired result in the last round against the Bulldogs, the Eagles produced a competitive performance on the road and the coaches backed the same squad to take them to the reigning premierships this weekend.
Brandon Starcevic will face his former club in new colors for the first time, having played 132 games and won two flags for the Lions.
Starcevic had his season cut short due to injury but has made important contributions since making his Blue and Gold debut in Round 13 against Port Adelaide.
Ryan Maryk, Harvey Johnston and Harry Schoenberg were named emergency.
Saturday’s game will be called the Emergency Services Round, celebrating Western Australia’s first responders, honoring and honoring local heroes, volunteers and organizations that strengthen and support our community.
DFES, WAPOL and St John will be at Optus Stadium throughout the game, occupying the fan zone, which will host a variety of activities including bowling, giant snakes and ladders, virtual reality firefighting, dog meet-and-greets and vehicle tours.
There will also be a DFES v WAPOL (Firedogs v WAPOL Hogs) match at Optus Stadium ahead of the AFL match.
The West Coast v Brisbane match kicks off at 6.10pm and will be shown live on 7 and 7plus in WA and Queensland, as well as nationally on Fox Footy and Kayo.
