CHENNAI: The son-in-law of former Tamil Nadu president and opposition DMK chief Stalin has issued defamation notices to two TMC ministers. He alleged that ministers made unfounded and defamatory remarks against him. (Stalin’s son-in-law) warned of legal action if they did not apologize within 15 days. Minister Aadhav Arjuna of the TBC government led by K.M. Vijay recently made several allegations against Stalin’s family at a press conference. He criticized how all MQM ministers belonging to 36 departments collected money through corruption in the previous government. He alleged that money belonging to each of the 16 departments was distributed to Stalin’s son Udayanidhi Stalin and his son-in-law Sabarisan.
Meanwhile, another minister CTR Nirmal Kumar also leveled a slew of allegations against the previous DMK government. During the MQM rule, he criticized that the security department’s income and expenses, as well as debts, had increased dramatically. Who benefits from increased energy bills? Is this (Stalin’s) family? son-in-law or son? We need to ask the ministers of the previous government.
On the other hand, Stalin’s son-in-law Sabarisan took the allegations of ministers Adhav Arjuna and Nirmal Kumar seriously. He alleged that both ministers made baseless and defamatory remarks against him. He said that this news was broadcast on social networks along with many regional channels.
In this context, Sabarisan demanded that the ministers retract their comments and apologize within 15 days. Otherwise, he warned that legal action would be taken. In this regard, he issued legal notices to these two ministers through his lawyer.
