Marine Le Pen stands with her arms crossed over her chest… After the decision of the Court of Appeal and the confirmation of her candidacy, the leader of the RN fully played up the dimension of Christ and the symbolism of the resurrection in her first election poster. To support the line, she added this reference: “For France. Renaissance”, Only, “Renaissance”… This is also the name of the party of Gabriel Attal, one of his competitors in the race for the Elysee Palace. And the latter does not intend to allow this to happen without saying anything!
According to our information, the Renaissance party summoned RN and Marine Le Pen last Friday for summary proceedings in the case of “parasitism” and “brand counterfeiting” before a judge in a Paris court. The Paris Court of Justice, contacted by RTL, confirms that the judge hearing the dispute has granted temporary relief from time to time and that the hearing will take place on July 27. The bailiff will inform RN and Marine Le Pen during the day.
“An attempt to appropriate the word Renaissance”
“This is the first legal victory since the judge acknowledged that there was an urgent need to rule due to RN’s appropriation of the word ‘Renaissance,’ says Renaissance management, who adds: ‘We have noted the attempt to appropriate the word ‘Renaissance,’ and that this has greatly enlivened the public debate in recent days. There is therefore an urgent need to act,” explains Gabriel Attal’s teams.
At Renaissance HQ, we also learn a political lesson from this case. “Marine Le Pen has said all her life that she is a lawyer. However, any lawyer would see this difficulty. Or they saw it, and this is a voluntary doubt about private property. Or they didn’t see it, and we can ask real questions about their skills, their amateurism and therefore their ability to lead the country,” insists Gabriel Attal’s entourage.
Response from RN management to RTL: “When Mr. Attal talks about a “rally” when he supports the candidacy of Edouard Philippe, we promise that we will not put him on trial.”
