Tottenham turned their attention to acquiring strikers in the summer transfer window, having already strengthened their defensive line and midfield this summer.
Spurs have been the most active club in the transfer window so far, bolstering head coach Roberto De Zerbi’s squad with six new signings.
But they are not finished there. The north Londoners have added one goalkeeper, three defenders and two midfielders, with the Italian head coach now looking to strengthen the forward areas.
Spurs still have several players injured

Javi Simons will miss more than half of the 2026-27 season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, while Wilson Odobert will not return until October due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
It remains to be seen when Dejan Kulusevski will be able to return after missing the entire 2025/26 campaign, while Richarlison’s future remains in doubt.
GIVEMESPORT understands that at the start of the window Spurs were looking to add a new left winger and possibly a new number nine to their ranks when it came to signing strikers, with a number of left-wingers being linked with a move to the N17.
Negotiations for Savigno began last summer, with the City man hoping to join the team before he was pulled the plug by the Etihad side. Spurs have once again shown strong interest this summer, with transfer guru Fabrizio Romano saying talks are “ongoing”.
Tariffs are valid until summer 2026.

However, Rafael Leao has emerged as a potential alternative for the Manchester City striker, while Cody Gakpo has also been touted as a potential transfer for De Zerbi.
Romano provided an update on Savigno on his YouTube channel in the early hours of Saturday UK time, suggesting the City player is their number one priority.
Savigno is the man Tottenham want this summer

He said: “My understanding is that the main names Tottenham should consider in the vocal position are Cody Gakpo, but at the moment Liverpool have not yet opened the door to an exit, and Savigno.
“Saviño is Tottenham’s main target. These two players are considered Tottenham’s priority in the winger position. I’m not saying they join because it depends on negotiations, but Savigno is number one, two and three because Tottenham already wanted him a year ago.
“Then Cody Gakpo is Tottenham’s wish, but at the moment it is up to Liverpool. “Liverpool are not opening the doors to exit, so we need to be patient and see what happens there.”
