Hundreds of thousands of pounds have been given away in Postcode Lottery draws over the past week. Among this week’s winners was a 44-year-old mother of one from Somerset.
Nicola Young was one of three housemates to share £1 million when BA11 2LN won the Postcode Lottery’s weekly Millionaire Street prize on Saturday 4 July.
After winning a whopping £333,333, Nicola, from Frome, Somerset, said: “When we moved I started playing the postcode lottery because I knew we could use a little injection of capital.

“But I never expected to be holding a check for that amount of money in my hands. This is incredible. I would say this is a dream come true, but I never dreamed that this could happen. This means we can complete our house.”

Nicola and her partner Damien Hardaker, 47, moved into their home in the market town of Frome, near Bath in Somerset, in December 2020 and began renovations in 2023.
With a shrinking budget and endless DIY weekends, the couple feared they wouldn’t finish the job until at least the mid-2030s. Now, by winning a third of the £1 million prize, they could complete the entire project and more.
A total of 13 streets across Greater Manchester have received prizes in the last seven days. Winning postcodes: WN2 3SQ, WA16 0GY, M18 8TB, M25 1NL, WN3 6AB, SK7 5AB, OL5 9DW, WN6 8NY, OL12 6NH, M34 7WP, M27 0ED, WN1 2RS, SK6 8DX – each winning £1,000 sterling.
The Postcode Lottery costs £12.50 per month to enter and there are guaranteed winners every day. People play with their chosen zip code and are automatically entered into all draws.
