The dramatic accident occurred this Monday morning on the A50 motorway in the direction of Marseille-Toulon. One person was killed, three were injured and were treated by rescuers.
The accident occurred near La Ciotat (Bouches-du-Rhône), just behind the toll station. According to Vinci Autoroutes, which is responsible for this section of the road, three vehicles are involved.
The damaged vehicles were towed away around 8 a.m. Traffic police officers and emergency services continue to work at the scene.

Three passengers in the damaged vehicles were hospitalized. Two were treated at the La Ciotat hospital center and the third at the Aubagne hospital center. According to our information, the damaged cars were not evacuated.
Traffic in this area is single lane, right, for several hundred meters. There is currently heavy traffic in the area which should be avoided if possible.
