Halo: Campaign Evolved is finally out today, at least in Early Access, and if you’re playing on PC and have an NVIDIA graphics card, you might need this fix first.
Specifically, a stability issue was identified for the RTX 50 series using the latest 610.xx drivers, and since it’s releasing today, a fix has been rolled out rather than a completely new driver.
Since this is a patch, you won’t be able to simply update it through the NVIDIA app on your PC; you will need to go to the dedicated support page to obtain it and install it manually.
This fix is also worth purchasing for Path of Exile 2 players as it fixes a frustrating issue that players were experiencing with the game when running on DX12.

No other games are affected by this fix, so if you don’t plan on playing any of them in the next week or two, you may want to wait. NVIDIA will include these fixes in its next regular driver release, so you’ll get them pretty soon.
It’s also worth making sure you do a clean install, which, to be honest, I would recommend any time you install an updated driver. During the NVIDIA installation process there is a checkbox you can check for this, or you can use a tool like Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to remove the old ones first. I’ve seen some issues myself over time that have been resolved with a proper clean install and it doesn’t really require any extra work.
Halo: Campaign Evolved is, of course, another remake of the first game in the legendary series. In addition to making the game better, it actually contains fresh content that expands on the classic game, and for the first time, PlayStation users will be able to see what all the fuss is about.
Early Access begins today, July 23, and general access on all platforms and Xbox Game Pass begins on July 28.
