The highlights of Luis Suarez’s Liverpool career are simply breathtaking and rival those of any player.

The Uruguayan’s spell with the Reds may have been relatively short – three-and-a-half years – but he is remembered as one of the most talented players in the club’s history.

Suarez kept the fans’ jaws on the court every week, displaying a truly elite skill set that he combined with an unrelenting will to win.

Along with many, Steven Gerrard considers him the best player he has ever played with.

“He amazed me with his talent,” Gerrard said. “With Luis Suarez in your team, you have a chance to beat anyone in the world.”

Fernando Torres left the same day Suarez arrived from Ajax in January 2011, and Kopites’ heartache was short-lived, such was the immediate effect of their new number seven.

He made his debut as a second-half substitute against Stoke City at Anfield and needed just 16 minutes to open his account.

Suarez scored 17 times in his first full season at Liverpool, including the first of three hat-tricks against Norwich City and the equalizer in the FA Cup semi-final against Everton.

His contribution in the 2011–12 campaign saw him win the League Cup under Kenny Dalglishthe only trophy of his Anfield career.

Guilty of missed chances in the early days of his Reds career, he took his level to new heights in the next two seasons, scoring 30 and 31 goals respectively.
