Sky Sports Lyall Thomas has reported that the Monaco striker and PSG target has received an inquiry from Liverpool.
PSG attempted to sign the France international this summer after their Ligue 1 rivals rejected three bids this window.
It is reported that the 24-year-old footballer has already agreed personal terms with the European champions. However, the Reds’ increased interest could mean he is turning his back on the prospect of playing a bigger role at Anfield.
The winger will have to work his way into a double Champions League-winning side that already boasts strikers such as Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desiree Douhet and Bradley Barcola.
Under Andoni Iraol there will certainly be more opportunities.
Sky Sports reported that PSG have failed in their latest bid of around £34m as they confirm Liverpool’s request:
Liverpool have made an initial attempt to sign winger Magnes Aklyush from Monaco.
“The club is believed to have checked the potential availability of the 24-year-old France international.”
“Aklouche is the main target of Paris Saint-Germain, who have made him several offers, but none of them have been acceptable to Monaco yet.”
“The most recent figure is believed to be around £34 million (€40 million).”
Akliusz’s contract with Monaco runs until 2028, suggesting his club realize this is the last summer they can receive a meaningful fee for him.
Given the interest shown in the player, it would be difficult to see Akliush deciding to extend his stay at the Principality club.
