Liverpool have asked Nottingham Forest to pay £40 million for Curtis Jones, according to a journalist.
Future Jones is shrouded in uncertainty as the Liverpool midfielder’s contract expires at the end of next season.
Inter Milan are actively trying to conclude a deal with Liverpool for Jonesbut last season’s Serie A champions cannot reach an agreement.
Teacher translation Fabrizio Romano about his YouTube channel last month: Inter are very interested in Curtis Jones.
“Inter are in talks with Liverpool. Inter are worth around €20m (£17.3m), Liverpool want over €30m (£25.9m), possibly including a sell-on clause and bonuses, so there is still a big gap between Inter and Liverpool, but the deal is done.”
“(Jones) is eager to move, and Chiesa said Jones asked him how life was in Italy.”

Romano also said in mid-June: “It’s mid-June now. So obviously Inter will have to work step by step.”
“They have players leaving as well as players coming in and various situations will need to be clarified.”
The Italian broadcast journalist further stated: “People ask why Curtis Jones’ name disappeared from the news, what happened to Curtis Jones?
“Nothing changes, Curtis Jones remains a very high name on Inter’s list, their favorite since January, and the player is completely open.
“We need to put the numbers together. Inter are starting at €20 million but Liverpool want €30 plus resale value, so there’s still a gap to fill.”

Nottingham Forest want Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones
Information appeared in the Italian media that Nottingham Forest Jones liked it.
Italian journalist Luca Cercione reported that Forest “lashed out” at Jones and received a harsh response from Liverpool.
While Liverpool are ready to cut ties with the 25-year-old, the club’s owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), want £40 million for the England international.
The reporter wrote on X at 18:17, July 8: “Nottingham Forest swoop in for Curtis Jones: Liverpool take no prisoners but demand £40m to release midfielder, whose contract expires in June 2027”
Cercione has almost 35,000 subscribers. X This summer we reported some important transfer news.
An Italian journalist was one of the first to report this. Chelsea’s desire to sign Marco Palestra from Atalanta and was the first to reveal The Blues are interested in Sunderland midfielder Granit Xhaka.
Arsenal also interested in Curtis Jones
However, Forest are not the only Premier League club linked to Jones, with Arsenal also mentioned.
Daily Mail journalist Lewis Steele said at the end of June: “I think Liverpool don’t want to sell him for anything less than their valuation, and that’s fair enough.
“And it appears that other clubs are not prepared to invest the money that Liverpool want at this stage.
“As far as Liverpool are concerned, it will mean the door is closed for Curtis to leave this summer.
“The only thing that surprises me is that we haven’t really heard from Curtis himself.
“It seemed like he was going to leave this summer.
“So if a club comes and puts money on the table, it could certainly make a difference.
“We know Spurs have liked him in the past, although they chose Gallagher instead in January.
“I think there was always talk that Arsenal might like him.
“So this is something you can look at.
“I think it’s more likely that he will stay at this stage based on what has been said, but I don’t think the door is completely closed because he only has a year left on his contract.”
