Filipinos can watch Alex Ila’s Wimbledon round of 16 match against Jasmine Paolini at the public viewing party at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City on Monday.
The observation, organized by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), is free and can accommodate up to 8,000 fans on a first-come, first-served basis.
Gates open at 5.30pm and the match, which will take place on Center Court in London, is scheduled for 8.30pm.

MANILA, Philippines – Alex Ila is gearing up for her first-ever Grand Slam quarterfinal appearance when she meets Italy’s Jasmine Paolini in the round of 16 at Wimbledon on Monday (Philippine time).
Ela will be hoping to make it 2-0 against world number 17 Paolini after her 6-1, 7-6(5) win in their first and only round of 16 clash at the Dubai Open earlier this year.
Ela, 21, dethroned defending Polish champion Iga Swiatek 7-6(9), 6-2 to continue her best Grand Slam record.
Eala is aiming to become the first Filipino to reach the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam since Felicisimo Ampon accomplished the feat at the 1953 French Open.

Alex Ila is looking to extend her dream of reaching the quarter-finals at Wimbledon when she faces Jasmine Paolini on Monday.
Ela stunned defending champion Iga Swiatek with a stunning straight sets win on Center Court in the third round and now faces the challenge of building on that breakthrough triumph over former Wimbledon finalist Paolini.
The 21-year-old is rumored to be a star in the women’s sport after beating Swiatek to reach the semi-finals of the Miami Open last year.

In a three-minute, 33-second post-fight interview that she began as an emotional wreck, Alex Ila told the world what the journey was that brought her this far.
And what does reaching the last 16 of a Grand Slam tournament after dethroning Wimbledon women’s singles champion Iga Swiatek mean for the 21-year-old Filipina who is taking the tennis world by a proverbial storm?
She first named the Williams sisters, as well as the gracious Swiatek, all of whom have “so many Grand Slams,” saying that reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon “might seem like nothing (to them).”
