A four-year-old Langley boy who went missing on July 16 has been found safe.
Langley RCMP said the boy was found on Monday, July 20.
In a previous emailed statement, Langley RCMP said the boy’s disappearance did not meet the threshold for activating an Amber Alert.

AMBER Alert is intended for only the most serious and urgent cases of child abduction. It is not intended for parental abduction cases except in life-threatening situations. AMBER Alert can be used for any qualifying kidnapping, regardless of the relationship the kidnapper has with the victim.
AMBER Alert is activated only by authorized law enforcement users. All of the following conditions must be met before a YELLOW Alert can be activated.:

- The victim is under 18 years old.
- Police have reasonable grounds to believe that the victim has been abducted.
- Police have reasonable grounds to believe that the victim is in immediate danger.
- Police have obtained sufficient descriptive information about the victim, the abductor and/or the vehicle involved.
- The police believe that a warning can be given within a time frame that will provide reasonable expectation that the child can be returned or the abductor will be apprehended.
