Exeter City have signed former Walsall striker Josh Gordon on a free transfer.
The 31-year-old footballer signed a one-year contract with the League Two team with the option of extending for another year.
Gordon spent two years at the Saddlers before being released this summer. He also played for Burton Albion and Barrow, for whom he scored nine goals while on loan last season.
“We have signed an energetic centre-forward who will bring everything he has and will be a player the fans will fall in love with,” Exeter City manager Matt Taylor said.external
“His goal tally of nine out of 30 last season suggests that if he gets the right delivery, a goal will benefit the team.”
Gordon becomes Exeter’s second new signing since they were relegated from League One in May following the signing of fellow striker Gwion Edwards to the club last week.
