A 40-year-old false priest was detained in the Minsk region. A resident of the Vitebsk region organized sects and performed pseudo-religious rituals. To attract new followers, he used social networks, where he offered church services and also posted pornographic materials.
According to the investigation, the defendant performed paid rituals and ceremonies for Belarusians and foreigners, both remotely and at their place of residence. The man claimed that he was collecting funds for the improvement of the temple, but in fact all the money received was spent on alcohol.
The detainee organized group activities of a sexual nature and himself took part in them. He also subjected his acquaintance to violence, after which he “expressed intentions of suicide.” It is known that the detainee has a positive HIV status, which he did not warn his partners about.
Previously, the Vitebsk resident had already served a sentence for sexual abuse of minors, distribution of pornography, as well as for theft of religious objects.
Criminal cases have been initiated against the defendant for the illegal activities of a religious organization, as well as for the production and distribution of pornographic materials.
