Although Harry Kane has established himself as one of England’s greatest strikers, his main priority off the pitch is his wife Kate and their four young children.

Harry Kane became one of England’s greatest ever footballers, breaking club and country records and establishing himself as one of the world’s deadliest strikers. He secured England’s place in the last 16 with two goals in the second half against Congo on Wednesday night.
Whether captaining England at major tournaments or leading the line for Bayern Munich, the 32-year-old has spent much of the last decade in the spotlight. But behind the scenes he lives a quiet family life with his wife Kate Goodland, who has been by his side since the couple were teenagers.
Together the couple have four children and began a new chapter of family life after moving to Germany following Kane’s successful move to Bayern Munich.

Harry and Kate’s love story dates back to their childhood in east London.
The couple first met while attending Larkswood Primary School and both went on to attend Chingford Foundation School in Waltham Forest. The school became well known for nurturing football talent and former England captain David Beckham was among its former students.
An old school photo even shows Harry and Kate posing next to Beckham as teenagers, years before Kane followed in his footsteps to become England captain.
Their relationship has stood the test of time, with Kane previously admitting he was lucky to have found his partner before his career took off.
He told the Evening Standard that dating will now be much more difficult because it will be impossible to know if he is interested in someone for the right reasons.
He said: “If I were single now and dating people, you would never know if they were with you for the right reasons. Is it really about money? You would never know. So I’m lucky to have a childhood sweetheart.”

After dating for over a decade, Harry proposed while on vacation in the Bahamas in 2017. The couple announced their engagement by posting a photo on social media of Kate proudly showing off her ring while standing on the beach.
Two years later, in June 2019, they married in an intimate ceremony at an undisclosed location.
Neither Harry nor Kate have revealed where exactly the wedding took place, preferring instead to keep the celebrations private. However, they shared a few photos from the day with fans.
Kate called Harry her “soulmate” and said marrying him was one of the best days of her life and thanked him for making her dreams come true.
In one sweet snap, Harry picked up his fiancée and kissed her on a dock in the ocean. She wore a fitted Ralph and Russo dress with a sweetheart neckline, embellished bodice and fishtail skirt with a long train.
But, as is typical for celebrities, Kate changed into a second evening dress, which featured a V-neck and sheer trim with delicate floral embroidery.
Parenthood
Kate and Kane have four children.
Family has always been central to Harry and Kate’s lives. Their eldest daughter, Ivy Jane Kane, was born in January 2017, just months before Harry became England captain for the first time.
The second daughter, Vivien Jane Kane, was born in August 2018. Then in December 2020, the family welcomed their first son, Louis Harry Kane.
In August 2023, Harry and Kate announced the birth of their fourth child, another son named Henry Edward Kane. Sharing the news on Instagram, Harry wrote: “Welcome to the world Henry Edward Kane. August 20, 2023. I love you, baby!

The family also has two Labrador dogs, Brady and Wilson, who regularly appear in social media posts.
Despite balancing the demands of elite football with family life, Kane has spoken on several occasions about the importance of being present for his children whenever his schedule allows.
In an interview with SoccerBible, he said: “Being a father and a husband is the most important part of my life.”
Germany is moving
The couple moved into a £30 million mansion in Germany.
One of the biggest decisions Harry and Kate faced came in the summer of 2023, when the striker completed his move from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich.
Having spent his entire career up to this point in England, the transfer was a huge change for the whole family.
Harry initially moved to Germany on his own while preparations were made for the arrival of Kate and the children. The family eventually moved to Bavaria, where they now live in a luxurious house in one of the most prestigious residential areas of Munich.
The move meant giving up the £17 million London home they shared during Harry’s Tottenham career, with its own gym, cinema and entertainment facilities.
Adjusting to life in a new country could be challenging, especially with four young children, but Kane explained that the transition went more smoothly than expected.

He told The Guardian that the children had started school, were already enjoying skiing and that the family had begun to form friendships with teammates’ families and other parents.
Their £30 million home is located in an area dubbed the “Beverly Hills of Bavaria”. It is estimated that he will earn a whopping £400,000-a-week at his new club, with performance-related bonuses not included in that figure. This means he receives a base rate of £21.6 million a year.
The house is reportedly located on the edge of a forest with stunning views of the river and even has its own spa. Former Bayern stars Mehmet Scholl and Lucas Hernandez previously lived in this house.
The Mirror spoke to one of their neighbors, Renata Lindner, who said: “He has a wonderful family. I saw him on the street to say hello. I love football, so I immediately knew who it was. He was very polite and I wanted him to feel welcome here.”
Kane’s net worth exceeds £100 million, surpassing even Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard – one of the most iconic and talented English players of all time.

Although she is often referred to as Harry Kane’s wife, Kate has built her career outside of football. After studying sports science at university, she qualified as a personal trainer.
Fitness remains one of her passions and she shares workouts and healthy lifestyle tips with her Instagram followers from time to time.
Kate has also supported charitable projects associated with her husband’s Harry Kane Foundation.
She previously collaborated with jewelery brand Loquet London to create a special collection to help raise money for the foundation’s work promoting positive mental health among children and young people.
