LAS VEGAS — Gary Trent Jr. has agreed to a four-year, $64 million contract to remain with the Milwaukee Bucks, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul and agent Lucas Newton told ESPN’s Shams Charania on Saturday.

Trent spent the last two seasons in Milwaukee, where he averaged 9.7 points on 41% shooting (39% on 3s), and is now earning a huge salary with the franchise. Trent signed for the league minimum in the summer of 2024 and then received a two-year, $7.5 million deal before last season, but declined his player option and became a free agent again.

Sources told Charania that Trent was attracting interest from several teams, working on potential sign-and-trade deals with other destinations before he decided to return to Milwaukee.

The Bucks had Trent Bird’s rights after he signed back-to-back contracts with Milwaukee. According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, his first-year salary will be $15.2 million.

Trent joins a crowded backcourt already in place in Milwaukee. The Bucks traded Tyler Herro and Caris LeVert, added Ryan Rollins and Kevin Porter Jr. and selected Brayden Burris with the 10th overall pick.
