Last weekend, fuel was returned at cost for motorists. Drivers will be able to take advantage of this to refuel cheaper at E.Leclerc and Intermarché.
Positive, therefore, for drivers. But some were able made a mistake last weekend when fuel prices were falling. A mistake that should not be made in future fuel operations at cost.
The cost of fuel reduces prices at the gas station
Because the cost of fuel has led to a decrease in prices for diesel fuel and gasoline. In E. Leclerc, as in Intermarché, prices were sometimes reduced by six or seven centsdepending on the fuel used.
So, diesel fuel at E.Leclerc cost an average of 1.836 euros/l. Carbu.com reported this on July 2. When he was in 1,847 euro/l in Intermarché at the same time.
But two days later the situation changed: in Intermarsh, the average price for diesel fuel was 1.817 euros/l.. At E.Leclerc it even dropped to 1797 euros/l!
As for SP95-E10 gasoline, the evolution was similar. From approximately 1.86 euro/l on July 2. the average price rose to 1.821 euros/l in Intermarché and even to 1.803 euros/l in E.Leclerc..
A mistake you shouldn’t make
A drop that occurred only on the weekend, and the operation of fuel at cost… because at the end of this weekend prices started to rise again.
This Wednesday, July 8, the prices are completely different: Average 1.87 euro/l for diesel in Intermarché, 1.86 euro/l in E.Leclerc. Even worse for SP95-E10, with average price 1.87 euro/l for both brands..
In short, you may have realized that a mistake you should not make on the weekend is fuel at cost… this is not to take advantage of this!
Because this kind of price reduction doesn’t happen every day. And it cannot be ruled out that prices at the pump will rise in the coming weeks. So keep an eye out for the next discounts.
