What is Chas doing now? (Photo: ITV)
This is Emmerdale history in the making. Expecting triplets to be born is exactly the kind of joke you’d expect from Chas Dingle. This time, however, the source of the children’s drama is Lucy Pargeter.
The actress, who has played the feisty and feisty member of the Dingle clan since her debut in 2002, recently took to Instagram to announce that her family is expecting not one, not two, but THREE new arrivals.
Lucy posted a photo of the ultrasound on her stories with the caption: “We’re expecting triplets!” and a party popper emoji.

In a further plot twist, our eagle-eyed readers (and those with medical training) may be able to tell from the scanned photographs that Lucy’s adorable little trio aren’t exactly human (that would be a real Emmerdale twist). Before anyone gets too excited, it’s fair to point out that Lucy herself is not the mother of this adorable little trio.
It will be her dog!

Lucy celebrated the arrival of her two pups back in 2023 in what she calls her “madness house,” which includes her three daughters.
The actress welcomed the birth of her first child Lola back in 2005, and then she and her partner conceived twin girls, Missy and Betsy, through IVF in 2017.
Sharing a photo of her then-puppies on Instagram, Lucy wrote: “Two more additions to the house of madness!!!! Anything to make my girls smile.”
Now it seems that these dogs are all grown up and have puppies of their own.
Although Lucy was blessed with good news and the joy of family, unfortunately, her character’s life was largely spent in the doghouse.
Chas was recently implicated in breaking into her cousin Charity Dingle’s (Emma Atkins) home farm in an attempt to pay off her blackmailer, the villainous doctor Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker). Not only that, but she recently put on her detective hat and went on a one-woman mission to find out exactly what secret newcomer Serena Sugden is hiding.

Chas’s son Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) began to suspect that Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaxi) is not who she seems after his partner Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) was involved in a horrific accident with a farm trailer.
After swiping Serena’s phone, Chas discovered damning images proving that Serena was in contact with Robert’s twisted brother, serial killer John Sugden John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth)
Although Charity is pretty private, Lucy has always been happy to share her family’s milestones with fans, such as her impressive back tattoo and photos of her gorgeous bearded dragon, Narla.
Photos of her dogs are always a hit on her social media. Onefan recently commented on a photo of her flood with “Gorgeous puppy.”
“Adorable,” wrote another.
“Too cute. He looks like he should be sitting in a bar whining about the price of dog food.”
