Emma Stone has finally retired from waitressing.

LOS ANGELES – After more than 11 years working at a local family-owned Italian restaurant, actress Emma Stone confirmed Monday that she is finally quitting her job as a waitress. “I’m a little nervous – you know, nothing’s guaranteed in show business – but I’m crossing my fingers that everything works out for the best,” said Stone, 37, who told reporters that the encouraging words she’s heard from friends about her performance in “Yorgos Lanthimos” Bugonia it was just the push she needed to turn in her name badge and waist apron. “I gave my manager two weeks, that’s it. In just half a month I’ll be doing acting full-time. Wow, that’s so crazy to say out loud. I’m a little sad to leave this place. I was beyond grateful when (owners) Ralph and Mary (Lowry) let me go part-time after my second Oscar. I’m going to miss them and all my regulars.” Stone added that if “the whole acting thing” doesn’t work out, it will be nice to know she can always fall back on her service industry skills.
