Dana Dieckmeier, influencer and former partner of former football professional Dennis Dieckmeier (including HSV, Sandhausen), announced on Instagram that Delaney’s disease is progressing. “Unfortunately, there are currently very few treatment options that are effective for your condition. Currently, metastases cannot be controlled as much as we would like. Unfortunately, more and more are being added,” Dieckmeier wrote.
Delaney Dickmeyer was diagnosed with cancer in January 2025.

And further: “This development of events is difficult to accept and it hurts us very much. However, Delaney is doing well at the moment – and that’s what we’re focusing on.” Delaney is physically healthy and can now enjoy everyday life.
In January 2025, the eldest of the now separated couple’s four children was diagnosed with an adrenal tumor. It was removed surgically. However, soon after this, doctors discovered metastases in both lungs. Since then, the parents regularly report on their daughter’s health status.
Recent immunotherapy treatment has been completed. “We have no control over what the future brings,” wrote Dana Dieckmeier, who also thanked them for their support and compassion. “But we can consciously live each day together.”
