Influencer Connor Michael Murphy, known for his “attractive” content, died July 7 in Thailand from what authorities say was an apparent drowning. He was 32.
Friends of the American content creator confirmed his death on July 8 via social media posts.
Police in Samut Prakan province, about 16 miles south of Bangkok, were called to a luxury rental home on Tuesday afternoon after receiving a report of a man behaving erratically, the Bangkok Post and Thairath reported.

A housing development employee recorded video of Murphy before he entered a nearby lake, Haosod English said.
The 32-year-old man allegedly got into an argument with a security guard at the rental property, the Bangkok Post reported.
Witnesses told Khaosod English that Murphy swam for several minutes before he appeared to lose strength, adding that they did not try to enter the water as the lake was more than 10 meters (or almost 33 feet) deep.

Divers from the Po Teck Tung Foundation searched for about 30 minutes before finding Murphy about 20 meters from shore.
Fox News Digital has reached out to Samut Prakan Provincial Police Headquarters and the Tourist Police Bureau for comment.

Police told Thai media that initial examination showed no visible signs of assault and his body was sent to Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Full autopsy and toxicology results are not yet available, Khaosod English noted.
According to the Bangkok Post, Murphy and his 22-year-old girlfriend, whom Khaosod English called Bee, were staying at the luxury villa on a three-month lease.

The homeowner told Khaosod English that the property is valued at around 22 million baht (approximately US$600,000) and is rented out for 35,000 baht per month (or just over US$1,000).

Police found parts of the house, including furniture, decorations and appliances, had been splattered with black and yellow paint, Khaosod English reported.

Bee told police that the damage appeared to have happened at night while she was sleeping in another room, the Bangkok Post reported.
She noted that she had never seen Murphy use drugs and called his behavior that day unusual, according to local media.

Murphy, who was born in Texas, had more than 2.7 million subscribers on YouTube and Instagram, where he posted content about bodybuilding and fitness.
He said he was part of the body image community, a male-dominated subculture associated with the creator of Clavicle that focuses on fitness and improving appearance, sometimes through extreme measures.
His social media pages appear to have been last updated on July 3, when he posted a video of himself kicking a soccer ball in a luxury home. Murphy’s last YouTube post was reportedly six days before his death.
