New Delhi: Dramatic events in Delhi during the CJP protest. All India MPs, who left in three buses under the leadership of opposition leader Rahul Gandhi to pay tribute to the students killed due to leaked forms, were stopped at a police barricade by a police barricade. Activists climbed over the barricade and protested. The bus was initially allowed to pass, but the police again stopped the bus at different places. When the activists tried to remove the barricade and move forward, there was a jostling between the activists and the police. From Rahul Gandhi’s residence to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s residence, police stopped a bus carrying MPs at five places. At the end of the action they were allowed to leave. But when the Smriti Yatra approached the Gandhi Smriti, the Delhi Police informed that the Gandhi Smriti would close at 5 o’clock and that the leaders would not be allowed inside. Opposition MPs were allowed into Gandhi Smriti as the protest continued.

Rahul Gandhi said that the opposition will continue to protest in any situation and does not know why the police stopped the bus. Earlier, the central government had invited Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leaders for discussions four times since yesterday. Union Minister Jitendra Singh said he was ready to negotiate with protesters anywhere, anytime. “Representatives of the protesters were formally invited to the discussion four times yesterday afternoon. Young friends are told that the government is ready to discuss all your problems anytime and anywhere at your convenience. This can be discussed at JP Nadda’s office or at home. We have no pride. Union Health Minister JP Nadda and I will participate in the discussion. We can find a solution through slow discussion. This is part of the measures taken by the government for the welfare of students. You are humbly asked to come and participate in the discussion.” said Jitendra Singh.
Meanwhile, the CJP has once again rejected the Centre’s invitation. CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said they will stand firm on their demand to reach the protest site at Jantar Mantar and hold talks. “We told them to come to Jantar Mantar. They rejected it. We are told to go to Nadda’s house. When the strikers were asked if they wanted this, they unanimously answered no. So we won’t go. Ashutosh Ranka said that the people have decided.
The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest is gaining momentum in the national capital. The CJP has taken the position that it will not end the strike without accepting the demands put forward. The CJP said the strike will continue until Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns. Considering the situation where the strike will intensify, more police forces have been deployed in and around Jantar Mantar. As the strike continues, 16 metro stations in central Delhi remain closed today. Metro stations were also closed yesterday. But the Supreme Court has ruled that Delhi Metro stations closed as part of the CJP strike must remain open until noon. Otherwise, the court will intervene in the matter.
Recently, Union Minister Zh.P. Nadda was again called to his home for discussions, but the CJP said he would not go. The position is that the discussion can be held at any place near Jantar Mantar. Youth demonstrations took place in the US, UK and various parts of the country in solidarity with the strike.
Meanwhile, Sonam Wangchuck said the 25-day hunger strike will end if the government assures that no legal action will be taken against members of the CJP movement. If this demand is accepted, he called for an end to the strike and negotiations with the government. However, the CJP unequivocally rejected this position. He clarified that he would not back down without accepting 4 demands, including the resignation of the minister. Union ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh visited Sonam Wangchuk at the hospital on Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, another clash occurred during the CJP protest. Even though the protest at Jantar Mantar was peaceful, protesters and security personnel clashed at Sansad Marg. The police used tear gas. Delhi Police said five policemen were injured in the clash. The collision took place at the entrance to Tolstoy Marg near Janpatha.
Bollywood actor Salman Khan also came out in support of the student strike. In his Instagram post, Salman Khan said that he supports the students protesting peacefully and that they are brave. But he added that the strike could not be allowed to be undermined politically.
“This is a problem between students and the education system. Don’t undermine it politically. The credit for the protest goes to the country’s students. I am confident that the government will support them in building a strong education system,” said Salman Khan.
At the same time, Union Minister JP Nadda said that he is ready to discuss the issue of NEET question paper leak in Parliament. Nadda said this while interacting with the media on Wednesday evening. The discussion must take place in parliament. Who is behind the question paper leak and what steps the central government has taken can be debated in Parliament. Any time can be discussed. Children are the future of the nation. Their future is important. The minister also released data on the states where the question paper was leaked. At a press conference, Nadda said that there were irregularities in the PSC exam in Kerala too and that Rahul had no problem with question papers being leaked in Congress-ruled states.
Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi responded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should apologize to students for the police attack on CJP workers who were protesting against irregularities in the NEET exam. He also demanded the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Rahul Gandhi said that he decided to hold a protest near the Prime Minister’s residence to draw the attention of the entire country to the issue of students and what is being done against them. Meanwhile, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka warned that the strike will intensify if the government does not address the demands. Ranka said that if the demands are not accepted, millions of people will flock to Delhi. Ranka told news agency ANI that he should not think about keeping his mouth shut and he will not back down. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has announced that 16 metro stations in Delhi will remain closed for safety reasons as the strike intensifies.
Earlier, the Supreme Court had refused to initiate a voluntary case of police brutality during the CJP protest. Chief Justice Suryakant said the court’s time should not be wasted in sending videos and other legal avenues should be explored. The Chief Justice also said that such demands would be a waste of time. The petition stated that CJP workers were brutally beaten by the police during a protest held on July 20. The applicant also stated that he could provide video evidence to prove this. The court criticized this request.
