The ball is rolling in the Bavarian Regionalliga! After the first game on Thursday night, seven games will continue on Friday night. On Saturday, the first game day will end with the game SpVgg Unterhaching against SpVgg Greuther Furth II.
TSV 1860 Munich did not play a single game in the first round. The Lions start the new season in just a week with a highly anticipated away game at 1. FC Schweinfurt 05.
The champions begin play in the Upper Palatinate: 1. FC Nürnberg II will play at the DJK Vilzing Stadium on Friday evening (>>>Click here for a detailed preview report!).
TSV newcomer Landsberg celebrates his regional league debut at home against FC Memmingen. “We are very much looking forward to the start of the championship and regional league match. It is great that we are starting from the very beginning at home against Memmingen. We are expecting a very intense game, duel-oriented, in which we want to fight back with full confidence and maximum intensity.”– explains TSV coach Rene Schröder, for whom this is also a baptism of fire in the top amateur class.
The second newcomer from Eltersdorf faces a mammoth task: Kweken will be guests at the Grünwalder Stadium along with Bayern’s professional reserves. Under the motto “All homebodies for Grunwalder,” a fan bus will also arrive in the capital of the state.
The match between Eichstätt and Illertissen should certainly be interesting. Meeting Steffen Israel (Eichstätt) and Walid Khaled (Illertissen) are two head coaches previously known to Bayern’s highest insiders.
One of the exciting questions this season is: what is Wacker Burghausen preparing? As is known, the Upper Bavarians want to return to professional football by 2030 at the latest, when the club celebrates its 100th anniversary. New coach Matthias Ostrzolek says before the start in Ansbach: “We are looking forward to playing again after a long preparation. We’ll have a tough opponent in Ansbach, but we’re heading to Mid-Franconia with a lot of self-confidence and want to start the season well.”
