At about three o’clock in the morning, a truck overturned on the A93 motorway near Wernberg-Köblitz in the Upper Palatinate. The highway in the direction of Regensburg between Wernberg-Köblitz and the Oberpfalzer-Wald intersection is closed until the morning, police said.
The driver of the accident was freed from the cab
According to police, a tractor-trailer had previously crashed into a guardrail. Why is still unclear. The driver was still in the cab and had to be freed. He suffered minor injuries, a police spokesman said.

According to the Amberg traffic police post, the traffic jam lasted for several kilometers in the morning – in some cases up to the Luhe-Wildenau intersection. Around nine o’clock, road users should expect to lose up to an hour, a spokesman said in response to a question.
Rescue operations are currently underway and a crane is also at the scene. A sabotage has been arranged.
