50 episodes of “Active in Allgäu” means: countless hiking trips, numerous excursion tips and many exciting mountain stories. For 50 weeks, subscribers to the newsletter “Active im Allgäu” received Allgauer Zeitung every Thursday ideas, tips and tricks on how to spend time outdoors in Allgäu.
To celebrate this, we at the editorial office want to go on a hike with our subscribers and therefore invite you to the first “Active hike in the Allgäu community.”
Community Hike: Come Hike with us!
July 10th the time has come! We – newsletter writers Lucas, Franzi and Kevin – want to get to know you better, talk to you and spend time together where we all love to be: the outdoors and the mountains.
We would like to take you on a hike to the Ofterschwanger Horn. Starts at 14:00. at the bottom station of the Ofterschwang-Gunzesried Bergbahnen World Cup Express in Ofterschwang. We slowly walk to the summit cross in about an hour and a half.
If you are currently not very good at walking, you can take the cable car up. We then head back to the World Cup hut below the hill station with everyone welcome.

If you want to go hiking, you should definitely bring hiking equipment, suitable shoes, hiking clothes and, if necessary, hiking poles. There will be cakes and snacks in the World Cup lodge (kitchen closes from 3.30pm) and both cash and card payment accepted.
“Active in the Allgäu” invites you to a community hike
We won’t let bad weather stop us. However, if it rains, we will skip the hike and instead stop at the sledding area at the base of the cable car.
