During this innings, Abhishek Sharma created an excellent record in international T20 cricket. With his explosive batting, Abhishek became the batsman to hit 100 sixes in the fewest balls in a T20I International (Full Member Team). The left-handed batsman hit 100 sixes in just 785 balls.

In doing so, he broke West Indies batsman Evin Lewis’s record of 789 balls. In this regard, Abhishek was far behind New Zealander Finn Allen (871), Australian Tim David (931), New Zealander Colin Munro (963) and Indian Suryakumar Yadav (1007).

Fewest T20I sixes in fewest balls (FM teams)
785- Abhishek Sharma (India)
789. Evin Lewis (West Indies)
871- Finn Allen (New Zealand)
931- Tim David (Australia)
963- Colin Munro (New Zealand)
1007- Suryakumar Yadav (India)

Abhishek Sharma became only the fifth Indian batsman to hit 100 or more sixes in T20 International cricket. Among Indian batsmen, before Abhishek Sharma, Rohit Sharma (205), Suryakumar Yadav (179), Hardik Pandya (126) and Virat Kohli (124) achieved this feat.

With 100 sixes off 785 balls, Abhishek not only scores quickly but also puts constant pressure on the opposition bowlers. If his style continues, he can be counted among India’s biggest match-winners in T20 Internationals and could also rival Rohit Sharma’s record for most sixes.
