While you might think earthquakes are a problem in the Western United States, some of the largest earthquakes in U.S. history have occurred in the East.
FRASIER PARK, California. – A magnitude 4.2 earthquake rocked Southern California early Sunday morning, with hundreds of people reportedly feeling the tremors.

The USGS said the earthquake occurred at 3:38 a.m. Pacific Time (10:38 UTC) about 1.2 miles east-southeast of Fraser Park at a depth of about 8 miles.

HOW TO WATCH FOX WEATHER
So far, the USGS says light to weak shaking was felt from Kern County south through Ventura and Los Angeles counties.
