Fans trying to buy tickets to the Jonas Brothers’ upcoming concerts at Madison Square Garden faced a wave of problems during Ticketmaster’s sale this week, with many saying they were blocked from accessing tickets after they were mistakenly flagged as bots.
Complaints quickly spread across X as fans shared screenshots and messages describing failed purchase attempts, sudden account restrictions and reports that Ticketmaster had detected suspicious or automated activity. Many users stated that they were real fans trying to buy tickets when they were prevented from making a purchase.
Several shoppers said they encountered problems while waiting in lines or trying to complete a transaction, and some reported being excluded from the purchasing process despite using personal accounts and standard devices.
@Ticketmaster I tried to buy Jonas Brothers tickets today but you wouldn’t let me log into my account because it said I was a bot. What is this?! THEN tickets were sold out on presale, but if you go to StubHub, all the bots you let in are already reselling their tickets!!

hi @Ticketmaster, thanks for ruining my day and preventing me from getting Jonas Brothers tickets by mis-seeing my account as a bot. I’m sure NONE of the tickets will be sold to REAL bots then??

Ticketmaster later responded to some fans who reported the issue, saying the issue had been resolved, according to responses from affected users.
For many buyers, however, the experience has exacerbated long-standing criticism of Ticketmaster and problems with purchasing tickets to popular events. In recent years, fans have increasingly expressed concerns about virtual queues, technical problems, limited ticket availability, price fluctuations and fees.
Did anyone make it to Saturday’s Jonas Brothers MSG show? Or did Ticketmaster just screw us all?

I know this is a first world problem, but buying @jonasbrothers concert tickets is getting worse. Between the prices, it honestly takes all the fun out of it. I had so many problems with my purchase @Ticketmaster.. spent too much money on it…

Ngle is a little annoyed with the Jonas Brothers and their team because the ticket prices are so high. Be it resale prices or regular prices, these shows are literally too expensive for the average person to attend :/ pic.twitter.com/rkGZn3qb24

The ticket sale comes as fans prepare for the Jonas Brothers’ big event at Madison Square Garden. The band recently announced a three-night “Burning Up All Over” tour of the 2008 Burning Up Tour, with shows scheduled for August 20, 21 and 22. The Jonas Brothers initially announced two shows at Madison Square Garden before adding a third show after popular demand from fans.
TicketNews has reached out to Ticketmaster for more information on what caused the issue and what steps have been taken to resolve it. Ticketmaster had not yet provided a response at the time of publication. This story will be updated if more information becomes available.
